Bacteriostatic Water 30ml for laboratory reconstitution of research peptides. Sterile-filtered water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative, allowing repeated needle punctures without microbial contamination, Manufactured to USP standards, supplied for in-vitro research use only.
Every lyophilised research peptide (BPC-157, TB-500, Semaglutide, Tirzepatide, GHK-Cu, Ipamorelin) arrives as a dry powder. To bring it into solution for research assays, you need a reconstitution diluent. Sterile water works for single-use protocols. Bacteriostatic water is preferred whenever the reconstituted vial will be accessed more than once, because the 0.9% benzyl alcohol suppresses bacterial and fungal growth over the working shelf life of the reconstituted peptide (typically 14–28 days refrigerated).
| Scenario | Sterile water | Bacteriostatic water |
|---|---|---|
| Single reconstitution, use immediately | Fine | Fine |
| Multi-day working solution | Not recommended | Preferred |
| Any research protocol needing repeat puncture | Contamination risk after 24h | Suppresses growth for 28 days |
| Semaglutide/Tirzepatide reconstitution (long half-life peptides) | Wasteful | Preferred |
| Cell-culture research where benzyl alcohol may interfere | Preferred | Avoid |
Standard research protocol for a lyophilised peptide vial:
Same-day dispatch from our Ireland facility on orders placed before 2pm local time. Delivery 24–48 hours to all Irish counties via An Post / DPD. Every consignment ships with the CoA and reconstitution guide relevant to the peptide it accompanies.
Peptides Lab Ireland supplies bacteriostatic water strictly as a laboratory reconstitution reagent for in-vitro research use only. It isn’t an authorised medicinal product under the HPRA framework and isn’t for human or veterinary use. If you require sterile bacteriostatic water for clinical or therapeutic use, please consult a licensed Irish pharmacy.
Bacteriostatic Water isn’t authorised as a medicine by the HPRA. It’s legal to buy, hold and use as a research chemical for in-vitro laboratory work, and that’s the only use we supply it for. If you want the full regulatory picture, see our Irish researcher’s guide to peptide legality.
Every vial ships with an HPLC purity trace (≥99%), mass-spec identity confirmation, and endotoxin/heavy-metal screening on the batch. The full per-batch Certificate of Analysis is available on request from research@peptideslabuk.com. Our quality system is ISO 9001 certified and third-party testing runs through a UKAS-accredited lab.
Standard protocol: let the Bacteriostatic Water vial and your bacteriostatic water come to room temperature, wipe both stoppers with a 70% isopropyl swab, then inject the water slowly down the side wall of the peptide vial. Don’t stream directly onto the powder cake. Swirl gently, don’t shake, and give it five to ten minutes to fully dissolve. Label the vial with compound, concentration and reconstitution date, store at 2–8°C between assays.
same-day shipping on orders placed before 2pm on a working day. Delivery is 24–48 hours to any Irish county via An Post Express or DPD. Cold chain is preserved with insulated wrap plus gel pack. No customs step, no border delays , because it never leaves Ireland.
In the Irish research space Bacteriostatic Water tends to appear in reconstitution and laboratory handling of research peptides. It’s often paired with any lyophilised peptide vial when researchers are studying combined mechanisms rather than the compound alone.
Lyophilised Bacteriostatic Water is shelf-stable at room temperature until first use. Once reconstituted, keep it refrigerated at 2–8°C and use within the working shelf life described on the CoA. Freeze/thaw cycles degrade peptides, so aliquot the reconstituted solution if you plan to run assays over several weeks.
