By the Peptides Lab Ireland research team · Updated July 2026
Pre-formulated peptide blends have become popular in tissue-repair research protocols because they combine complementary pathways into a single reconstitution. Two blends dominate Irish research group ordering: the Wolverine Stack (BPC-157 + TB-500) and the Glow Stack (BPC-157 + TB-500 + GHK-Cu). This guide compares them for research researchers deciding which best fits a given study design.
Component overview
BPC-157 — the mucosal-repair pentadecapeptide
15 amino acid gastric-derived peptide with the largest tissue-repair literature of any research peptide. Central research focus areas: tendon and ligament repair, gut mucosa, angiogenesis, dopaminergic pathway modulation. See our BPC-157 Ireland reference.
TB-500 : the actin-binding fragment of Thymosin Beta-4
Synthetic fragment of Thymosin Beta-4 with actin sequestration activity. Research focus: cellular migration in wound-healing models, endothelial repair, muscle regeneration. See our TB-500 Ireland reference.
GHK-Cu — the copper-binding tripeptide
Glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine complexed with a copper(II) ion. Research focus: skin regeneration, collagen synthesis, extracellular matrix remodelling, anti-inflammatory gene expression. See our GHK-Cu Ireland reference.
Side-by-side comparison

| Primary research focus | Tendon, ligament, gut repair | As Wolverine + dermal/skin biology |
| Angiogenesis pathway | Yes (BPC-157-driven) | Yes (BPC-157 + GHK-Cu-driven) |
| Skin/dermal remodelling | Modest | Strong (GHK-Cu contribution) |
| Copper coordination | No | Yes |
| Reconstitution complexity | Standard bacteriostatic water | Standard , mind copper coordination pH |
| Best fit study designs | Musculoskeletal repair, gut mucosa | Dermal repair, comprehensive tissue-repair, cosmetic science |
Which blend for which research question?
Choose Wolverine Stack when:
- The research protocol focuses on musculoskeletal repair , with tendon-to-bone healing, ligament repair, muscle crush injury models
- The primary outcome measure is angiogenesis and mucosal repair without a dermal component
- Study design requires a simpler two-compound blend for cleaner mechanistic attribution
Choose Glow Stack when:
- The research includes a dermal or skin-biology component — wound healing on skin surface, cosmetic science research, dermatology research models
- You need combined pathway activation and mucosal (BPC-157), migration (TB-500) AND extracellular matrix remodelling (GHK-Cu)
- Research protocol is exploring copper-dependent enzyme modulation alongside tissue-repair readouts
Reconstitution same technique, watch the pH
Both blends reconstitute with bacteriostatic water using the standard technique in our reconstitution guide. The one caveat for Glow Stack: GHK-Cu’s copper coordination is pH-dependent . Avoid strongly acidic buffers or reconstitution solvents at pH < 5, which can disrupt the copper–peptide complex.
Reproducibility considerations for Irish research groups
When comparing blend results to single-compound studies:
- The individual compound concentrations in a blend are lower than in a single-compound protocol at the same total mg : always calculate the individual concentrations before dose-response comparison
- Interactions between compounds in a blend can produce non-additive effects , if mechanistic attribution is important, run a parallel single-compound arm
- COA data on each blend confirms that HPLC purity is measured on the finished blend and reports the individual compound identities
