Refund and Returns Policy

This refund and returns policy sets out how orders placed with Peptides Lab Ireland are handled if a return, refund or replacement is required. It reflects our obligations under Irish and EU consumer protection law and the specific requirements of the research chemical supply chain.
Research supply model
All products supplied by Peptides Lab Ireland are for in-vitro laboratory research and educational use only. Products are shipped as research reagents in lyophilised form with per-batch Certificates of Analysis. Because of the nature of these products (integrity-critical research reagents), our returns policy differs from the general 14-day EU distance-selling window in specific respects, as permitted under exceptions for goods that cannot be returned for reasons of health protection or hygiene once unsealed.
Unsealed / opened products
Once the sealed outer packaging of a peptide vial has been opened, the product cannot be returned. This is not a policy choice — it is a consequence of research reagent integrity. Once cold chain and sterility have been broken by opening the seal, the product’s analytical characteristics can no longer be guaranteed to match the batch COA. We therefore cannot resell it or accept its return.
Sealed / unopened products
Sealed and unopened products may be returned within 14 days of delivery. To arrange a return:
- Email research@peptideslabuk.com with your order number and reason for return
- Wait for our return authorisation before shipping anything back
- Ship the product in its original sealed packaging, insulated as it arrived
- Include order number and return authorisation on the outer packaging
Refunds are processed within 14 days of us receiving the returned product in unsealed condition, using the original payment method.
Damaged products on arrival
If a product arrives damaged, contaminated, or with broken cold chain (cold packs unfrozen and packaging condition indicates a temperature excursion during transit):
- Do not open the affected product
- Photograph the outer packaging and the vial as delivered
- Email research@peptideslabuk.com within 48 hours of delivery with the photographs and your order number
Where the damage or excursion is confirmed by review, we issue either a full refund or replacement product at your preference. We do not charge return shipping in these cases.
Wrong product delivered
If the product delivered does not match the product ordered, email research@peptideslabuk.com with your order number and photographs. We will arrange collection and dispatch the correct product at no additional cost.
Batch integrity / COA discrepancy
If the batch number on the vial does not match the batch number on the Certificate of Analysis provided, or if you have specific analytical concerns about a batch, contact us before opening the product. We take batch traceability seriously and will investigate any COA discrepancy as a quality management issue, not a routine return.
Order cancellations before dispatch
Orders can be cancelled at no cost before dispatch. Once dispatched, the return provisions above apply.
Refund method
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at order. Refunds of card payments typically settle within 3–10 business days depending on your bank. Bank transfer refunds settle within 3 business days.
Consumer rights
Nothing in this refund and returns policy limits your statutory consumer rights under Irish and EU law. Where our policy differs from the general EU 14-day cooling-off period, it does so under legislated exceptions for goods that cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene or integrity once unsealed. Statutory rights for damaged, misdescribed or non-conforming goods remain fully in force.
